Road Closures

State Road 149 will be closed between Porter County Road 925 North and Robbins Road, starting as soon as Monday.

The board of works Friday agreed to let NIPSCO close Campbell between Burlington Beach and Bullseye Lake roads to replace utility poles.

More road work is set to start next week.

The city of East Chicago says part of Riley Road remains closed, as crews work to repair a water main break. The city was notified of the leak near 301 Riley early Saturday morning, and crews were called immediately to begin repairs.

Street closures are coming to East Chicago and Crown Point next week.

Daytime road closures are coming to Sheffield Avenue in Dyer.

A portion of Randolph Street will be closed in Merrillville on Wednesday.

77th Avenue will once again be closed for utility work Tuesday. The Lake County Highway Department says 77th will be closed between Calumet and St. John Road between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Another round of road projects gets underway Monday.

The west end of Fisher Street in Munster will be closed starting Sunday for West Lake Corridor construction.
