LGBTQ Outreach of Porter County provides a safe space for individuals who may have spent most of their lives unable to discuss their unique experiences openly.

National Coming Out Day is a day to honor LGBTQ+ and aimed to raise awareness of both the LGBTQ community and civil rights movement as well as to advocate for a person’s mental health and identity.

Lakeshore Public Radio is dedicated to inclusion and diversity in every aspect of our community. Regionally Speaking will recognize Pride Month with interviews with members and allies to promote increased visibility and equality to a population whose members have historically been forced to conceal their identities. Barb Langel with First Unitarian Church of Hobart joins us to discuss the intersectionality of faith and the LGBTQ community.
