I-65 concrete restoration work is moving to the northbound lanes this weekend. Starting Saturday, the northbound entrance ramps will be closed from U.S. 30, 61st and Ridge Road. The ramp from U.S. 231 to northbound I-65 is also closed for a separate contract. INDOT asks drivers to use Broadway as a detour.

State Road 2 will be closed between Valparaiso and Westville starting Tuesday. The Indiana Department of Transportation says the highway will be closed between Porter County roads 400 North and 575 East, while crews replace the crossing over the West Branch of Crooked Creek.

A section of southbound I-65 will be closed overnight, as crews prepare for the next phase of construction. Southbound I-65 will be closed through the I-80/94 interchange from 8:00 p.m. Saturday until 5:00 a.m. Sunday. The ramp from westbound I-80/94 to southbound I-65 will also be closed.

Indiana could soon have its fifth nationally-designated bike route. U.S. Bike Route 37 would connect the Erie Lackawanna Trail in Northwest Indiana to the Monon Trail in Hamilton County.
