Gary West Side grad Dana Evans began her first year in the WNBA by having to wait longer than she thought she would to be selected in the WNBA draft. By the time she was finally picked, by Dallas in the early second round, Evans, was nearly moved to tears.
By the end of her first year pro hoops journey, Evans was standing around hugging players on her new team, the Chicago Sky at midcourt during a big celebration after winning a league title.
Her emotions was a complete 180 from where they were during her first WNBA moment.
