Regionally Speaking, August 22, 2022

Sarah Gonzales for NPR

Today: We’re continuing the conversations about the state of education in Northwest Indiana. GlenEva Dunham represents teachers as the president of AFT Indiana. We recently spoke with her about teachers shortages nationally as well as locally. And Lorenza Jara-Pastrick is the principal of Bishop Noll High School. As parents look for in-person learning alternative options, she shares what she believes is behind a student exodus from public schools. All of that on this edition of Regionally Speaking.

Dee Dotson is the host and producer of our radio show/podcast, Regionally Speaking. Dee is responsible for connecting with the northwest Indiana community to share their stories with the Lakeshore Public Media listening audience.
