Today: The Rotary Clubs of northern Indiana holds its Annual World Affairs Conference on April 14th at Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso. This year’s event topic is “Human Trafficking In Plain Sight – What Can You Do About It?" The keynote speaker, Shaana Robrock with the Phoenix Alliance, is on "Regionally Speaking" to discuss this serious subject. The day-long conference includes a number of speakers on human trafficking. Spring is here, bringing an influx of new bundles of joy! It’s baby season, and that means it is time for Humane Indiana Shelter and Adoption Center to prepare for puppies and kittens, and for Humane Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center to prepare for orphaned or injured baby wildlife animals. The Munster-based Humane Indiana's CEO Brian Fitzpatrick goes through the list of events which take place in early April.
