Today: Professor Pierre Atlas, a senior lecturer with the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, is on "Regionally Speaking" with his thoughts on the ongoing invasion of Ukraine by troops from the Russian Federation. Atlas teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in public affairs and criminal justice and is an opinion columnist for the "Indianapolis Business Journal." He talks about the history of the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, why Putin wants independent Ukraine back in the Federation, the big mistake of Russian troops invading the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and the big question: will this all lead to World War III? The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana – just like all of us – is dealing with inflation affecting the cost of food and the supply-chain issues these days. Executive director Victor Garcia talks about the issues and how the Food Bank is dealing with them. We also revisit a conversation with Purdue University Northwest administrator Matthew Wells, who talks about the Roberts Impact Lab at PNW -- named for David and Susan Roberts -- which, when completed in Hammond — will be a workspace for entrepreneurship, innovation and education collaboration.
