Midwest Beat Highlights Over The Decade!

For this evening's program, I unearthed some live in studio performances made during guest visits to the radio studio over the last decade.

Among those local musical artists featured on tonight's show will be performances of original music by Geddy Trezak, Jack Whittle, LeAnn Stutler, James Gedda, S. Joel Norman, Gunner Brightweiser, Derek Caruso, and Angie Campbell as they were originally heard live from when the guests visited the radio studio with Tom Lounges.

    Chicago rocker/actor Pete Berwick is working on a new book that chronicles the colorful, albeit too short recording career of the iconic denim-clad band, THE BOYZZ FROM ILLINOIZZ.The Boyzz were a Chicago biker bar band with a distinct Southern Rock feel Established in 1977, the group initially comprised front man Dirty Dan Buck, guitarist Mike Tafoya and Gil Pini, bassist David Angel, keyboard player Anatole Halinkovitch with Kent Cooper on the drums.The author will be live in studio to talk about the project and how he came to take on writing about this colorful band of rowdies who epitomized the title of their solo 1979 EPIC RECORDS release, "TOO WILD TO TAME."Calling in to join the conversation and share stories from the glory days of the band will be former lead vocalist and front man DIRTY DAN BUCK.
