Hammond Woman Attends Woman's March on Washington

Concerned Citizen and Hammond resident, Albertine Dent, is enjoying a feeling of satisfaction from having done her part in accomplishing a collective goal, to stand up for the rights and respect of women.  She rode a bus all night long Friday night to attend the Women's March on Washington on Saturday, January 21st.

Dent said she talked to women from all over the country who had similar concerns as hers about where women stand with the current administration.  She said there were many things she will never forget.

Dent went to Washington as part of the Women's March movement.  She says going to the event was a great opportunity to see the unity that was expressed. And she is now committed to protecting the rights of women and ensuring those rights are guaranteed for future generations.
