Today: This is our first "Reporters Roundtable Friday," where we ask northwest Indiana reporters about the stories they've put out in print and online. We speak today with "Times" business reporter Joseph Pete and "Post-Tribune" reporter Alex Kukukla about their stories. Joseph's stories include a new report on Hoosier manufacturing and where the Region stands in it, a ownership change for a local supermarket and Schoop's Hamburgers ranks as the number-one restaurant chain in Indiana in a new survey. Alex's stories focus on local elections: the start of the early voting period for the May 3rd primaries and on some changes in the precinct polling locations in Lake County. She also has an update on a local political figure's impending court trial. And PNC Financial Services Group assistant vice president and senior economist Abbey Omodunbi joins us with his monthly "take" on the regional and national economies.
