Today: Valparaiso University professor Elizabeth Gingerich is on "Regionally Speaking," as we revisit our initial conversation about business law issues and their impact nationally and in northwest Indiana. "William L. Johnson Black Film Festival" director Dr. Vernon Smith talks about the three-day event which begins with a student screening of student films on Friday and continues with independent films on Saturday and two features on Sunday. The features and documentary films will be shown at the Glen Theatre in Gary. Johnson is a Gary native and an Emerson School of Visual and Performing Arts graduate who began the festival ten years ago. It is part of the Region's Black History Month celebrations and is always well-attended -- although it was held virtually last year, because of the pandemic.
