Ingrid Norris

Ingrid is the director for Lake County Public Library (LCPL). She began her career at the library in 1977 as a teenager and later received her master's degree in library science from Indiana University. She worked her way up through the library, serving as a Branch Manager, Head of Branches, Chief Information Officer, Assistant Director and, since 2014, as Director.

The mission of Lakeshore Public Media is to build a strong sense of community for the residents of Northwest Indiana by being the leading force in connecting people, ideas and information through multiple, ongoing media and outreach activities. As LCPL has similar aims, I am grateful to be working with Lakeshore on the Community Advisory Board.
