New Attorney General Todd Rokita Promises 'Liberty In Action' At Swearing-In

Todd Rokita was sworn in Monday as Indiana’s new attorney general. And his inaugural address promised “liberty in action” under his administration.

Rokita pledged repeatedly to defend liberty, specifically citing gun rights, anti-abortion advocacy, the Bill of Rights and support for law enforcement.

“And you will see liberty in action as we fight against the disingenuous lure of socialism itself that’s on the march across our nation right now,” Rokita said.

Rokita also issued a call to action for all Hoosiers to “defend our individual liberties.”

“We will do it because ordered liberty and individualism are the very foundation of our nation,” Rokita said.

In his new role, Rokita replaces Curtis Hill, whose re-election bid was hobbled by sexual misconduct.
