Today Governor Eric Holcomb addresses the state on issues around equity and inclusion. The speech comes nearly three months after protests against police brutality and systemic racism kicked off in Indiana and across the country. Soon after those protests started, Holcomb said he was working on a “to-do list” to address racial injustice in the state.
We talk about what people are expecting from the governor, and how he's handled issues around race and equity during his term so far. We also talk to the vice chair of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus to find out what kinds of changes that group is calling for.
