Congressman Mrvan Has His Eye on Current Most Important Objective

NORTHWEST INDIANA - Congressman Frank Mrvan, of the 1st District of Indiana says passing the American Recovery Act is the most important aspect of his job currently.   He says making sure that congress has money going back to the cities, towns and states and making sure that schools have the funding to reopen is of key importance.

"I find it vital that we get our economy back on track.  I find it vital that we have the funding for our schools and that our students can get back in the schools, and we could have a level of learning, outcomes show that we have better, when you're in school, students in schools you have better educational outcomes," Mrvan says.

Mrvan told Lakeshore Public Radio that closing the learning gap and finding normalcy is among his top priorities.
