MERRILLVILLE - Some new developments are on the horizon for Merrillville.
Town manager Patrick Reardon told the "Times" that a massive facility is considering locating in the AmeriPlex at the Crossroads complex at Broadway and 93rd Avenue.
The facility could be up to 225,000 square feet and construction could begin in the fall.
It was not disclosed what or who the new tenant could be or it the company is looking for incentives from the town.
Merrillville Planning Director Sheila Shine told the "Times that a frozen food distributor is looking for a location to build a new 200,000-square-foot facility.
She said land in the AmeriPlex at the Crossroads and property on Colorado Street are among the company's choices in Merrillville.
Other new projects include, a new auto repair business going on Merrillville Road and a 50,000 square-foot building for new development.
