The Indiana State Department of Health today confirmed two more cases of COVID-19 in the state. That brings the total number of patients to six.

The latest Hoosiers to test positive live in Boone and Adams counties.

That comes after the health department announced the first case on Friday in Marion County. Three other patients are in Hendricks and Noble counties.

ISDH said in a news release that two of the people diagnosed are in the hospital and the other four are in self-isolation. Every case so far has a link to another case.

The state health department encourages sick people to call a healthcare provider. ISDH set up a call center to answer questions about the virus. Since Friday, it’s received some 900 calls.

The call center’s number is 317-233-7125 and open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Calls after 8 p.m. should go to 317-233-1325. Those calls will be answered by an on-call epidemiologist. You can also email epiresource@isdh.in.gov. The ISDH website will be updated daily at 10 a.m.
