Bids Due Today For Hard Rock Casino Gary Site Work

GARY - The city of Gary Sanitary District has released on Wednesday an invitation to bid on site work for the Hard Rock Casino Gary.  Tammi Davis, Director of Compliance and Policy Engagement told Lakeshore Public Radio that bids are due on Thursday (October 17, 2019) today/yesterday.  TN Ward Company has been awarded the construction contract for the Hard Rock Casino Gary project.

Davis says the company is looking to have the back fill and most of the tasks completed by 2020.  Diversity contract goals are also included in the project, according to Davis.

The project consists of a new 210,000 square foot one story casino facility together with approximately 2,500 surface parking spaces covering about 30 acres.
According to the sanitation department invitation. The footings excavation and backfill starts November 18th.  Building pad completion is set for December 2nd.  The Footings excavation and backfill completion is scheduled for December 14th, 2020.
