Inaugural South Shore Beer Fest Coming to the Region

Brewers of Indiana Guild

WHITING - If you want to work your way to trying as many craft beers as possible that are made in Indiana, the inaugural South Shore Beer Fest in Whiting, on Saturday, September 21st will put you in direct access to over 50 Hoosier Breweries.

The Brewers of Indiana Guild is having its first ever event at from 2 PM - 6 PM at Whihala Beach.

Athena Scholl, Director of Marketing and Communications for the Brewers of Indiana Guild says the local beer industry and its products are the feature and there will be plenty to sample.

A couple of local breweries, 18th Street Brewery, Burn 'Em and Bare Hands Brewery, have committed to open up its cellars and and share some speciality brews that have never been tried.

The list of participating breweries is long.  Breweries from outside the Region will also be making the trip to appear at this event, according to Scholl.

Scholl says three dollars ($3) from every ticket purchase will benefit a local charity partner.
