Regionally Speaking, Monday, February 18, 2019

National Geographic Magazine

We have a special Black History Month presentation, taken from the "Calumet Revisited" speaker series held at Calumet College of St Joseph in Whiting earlier this month.  Dr. Larry McKinney's talk was titled "Filling the Gap," referring to the little-known history of the Underground Railroad in the Region between Chicago and Michigan City.  Thanks to Michael Boos of the Association of the Wolf Lake Initiative -- the sponsor of the event -- for this conversation.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
