MUNSTER - The Munster Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person, who is a suspect in a fraud investigation. Police say that on November 10, at around 11:20 a.m., a person, appearing to be a woman, entered the Chase Bank, at 545 Ridge Road in Munster, and used another person’s stolen social security card, credit card and false driver’s license in an attempt to obtain money from that person’s checking account. Chase Bank employees noticed the driver’s license appeared fraudulent and told the subject they called police. The person then fled the bank.
Police ask that anyone who has information on the identity of the person to contact Munster Police Detective Tim Nosich at 219-836-6658. You can remain anonymous.
