School City of Hammond website

Today:   "Northwest Indiana Gazette" editor and publisher Ken Davidson joins us to talk about the issues surrounding the School City of Hammond's multi-million dollar improvement projects which includes a new high school -- projects which he says aren't being publicly discussed by the School Board.  He has put out posts on his website about a strategic planning committee and bids approved on "consent agenda."

Indiana Secretary of State Democratic candidate and Valparaiso attorney Jim Harper is back with a campaign update, and Indiana Public Broadcasting's Brandon Smith begins his series of conversations with the Nov. 6th election candidates for U.S. Senate beginning with incumbent Senator Joe Donnelly.

Northwest Indiana political activist Ruth Needleman is in the studio with an update on the election-year controversy surrounding immigration flights out of the Gary-Chicago International Airport and the Gary Hope Center's "Can We Talk?" project.  And Indiana Humanities' STEM initiative begins another series of "Quantum Leap" reports with one on the South Bend Code School.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
