Regionally Speaking, Thursday, October 11, 2018

Network Indiana/emmis

Today:    On this Reporters' Roundtable we talk with two reporters who attended this week's U.S. Senate candidates' first debate held at Purdue University Northwest in Westville.   Indiana Public Broadcasting's Brandon Smith has  pre- and post-debate observations about the event, and what we may hear in the final debate that will be held Oct. 30th in Indianapolis.   The "Times of Northwest Indiana's" Doug Ross goes into more detail on what the three candidates had to say about the issues -- including healthcare, abortion, end-of-life care and financing college educations.  Doug also talks about the early voting now underway in northwest Indiana ahead of the mid-term election.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
