It focuses on the famous author Howard Zinn, his teachings and books that looked at bias and objectivity in history, and how then-Governor Mitch Daniels wanted to ban the teaching of one of Zinn's books in Hoosier schools.
Northwest Indiana political activist Ruth Needleman is in the studio to talk about a public forum Tuesday evening at Indiana University Northwest titled "The Politics of Immigration and Racism." It will cover a number of issues, including government policy, roadblocks and obstacles to a path to citizenship, weekly family separations and deportation from the Gary airport.
