Regionally Speaking, Monday, August 6, 2018

Today:   we begin with a conversation with Anne Massie, the president of the Northwest Indiana Food Council, about this year's 2nd annual "Farm Hop" series of tours of unique places where local food is being grown.  The first of two weekend of tours begins on August 11th with two sets of tours, and continues on September 22nd with three separate tours.  Information and how to sign up for the tours is on the NWI Food Council website.

We then turn to northwest Indiana financial advisor Greg Hammer, with his review of the anniversary of the Social Security system and how Hoosiers can prepare to reap the maximum from their benefits, when it's time to draw from them.  We'll also revisit our conversation with Sam Love of the Gary Artist Residency on the summer programs that include the partnership with the city's Parks and Recreation Department.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
