Lafayette Journal & Courier

Today:  Leigh Morris, a veteran northwest Indiana government and community official and Whiting Mayor Joe Stahura are in the studio along with Susan Duncan of the League of Women Voters Calumet Area, to talk about the grassroots campaign to encourage town and city councils across the state to get their legislators to support redistricting reform.  So far, 25 city and town councils in the Region have signed onto to a resolution encouraging the General Assembly to change its method of creating boundaries for legislatie districts.

Lakeshore Public Radio's Valerie Plinovich has a report on a local school's controversial classroom renovations in the wake of the recent school shootings.  And Sue Brown of the northwest Indiana chapter of the Indiana Green Party has an update for us on Saturday's "Voices for Peace" anti-war rally in Valparaiso.  Another rally is planned for this Saturday afternoon at the Veterans Memorial at Wicker Park in Highland.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
