Air in the Rust Belt blog

Today:   we close out the month of April with a reminder about an important public presentation at Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso on Monday evening.  Two dynamic speakers  are dealing with the proliferation of violent video games, bullying and school shootings.  It's a program sponsored in part by Porter County Sheriff David Reynolds, and he talks about the speakers and the topics.

Lakeshore Public Radio's Sharon Jackson has a conversation with Angela Tin of the American Lung Association about how northwest Indiana fared on the recent Indiana portion of the national "State of the Air."

The Stratford Festival's Ann Swerdfager tells us a little history of one of North America's most famous reperatory theatre programs and a lot more about some of the great plays and musicals this season in Stratford, Ontario.  They range from Shakespeare, to musicals made famous on Broadway, to critically acclaimed drama to "Rocky Horror Show."

And we bring you another "Quantum Leap" STEM Initiative feature from Indiana Humanities.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
