Regionally Speaking, Wednesday, April 25, 2018

Indiana Dept of Child Services

Today:   Retired Indiana University Northwest professor Rick Hug joins us to talk about his creation -- now in its 28th year.  The Forum on Child Abuse and Neglect will be held on the Gary campus on Friday, in the new Arts and Sciences Building.  Hug says they have a very knowledgable keynote speaker and participant in one of the workshops this year.

We have another edition of "Green Fleet Radio" for you, supported by South Shore Clean Cities, with host Carl Lisek and his guest -- the director of transportation for NIRPC.  And we bring back the conversations with the parties involved in a proposed solid waste materials recovery facility in Gary.  Maya Energy LLC principal James Ventura speaks first, and then Hoosier Environmental Council attorney Sam Henderson talks about the opposition to the proposal.  That opposition also includes all of the students of a school that is across the street from the site.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
