Today: on this Reporter's Roundtable, we welcome Joseph Pete, business reporter for the "Times of Northwest Indiana," and his Statehouse colleague Dan Carden. They talk about the stories they wrote that were in print as well as online.
Joseph's stories range from the beginning of a series of public meetings across northern Indiana by NIPSCO to gather comments on a plan it must submit to state utility regulators, to the state of business and commercial properties as the "Twin Towers" office complex in Merrillville nears its end, to the impact of tariffs by Canadian newsprint makers on American businesses that use it.
Dan's stories focus on the last days of the 2018 General Assembly and what bills of local impact were not voted upon before the deadline. And he looks at the northwest Indiana legislators who served in their final sessions. He also talks about his updated stories in the "Times" on the bills that are signed into law by Governor Eric Holcomb.
