Northwest Indiana Hoosiers Getting More Good Prices at the Pump

NORTHWEST INDIANA - Average retail gasoline prices in Northwest Indiana have fallen just over 11 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.44/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 314 gas outlets in Northwest Indiana. This compares with the national average that has fallen almost four cents per gallon in the last week to $2.57/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy.com says prices have plummeted nicely and prices declined another three cents per gallon on Monday.

Including the change in gas prices in the Region during the past week, prices Sunday were just under 25 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are just over 17 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has increased just under four cents per gallon during the last month and stands just under 30 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
