In addition to her East Chicago stories, Sarah also talks about her story on an IDEM investigation into reports of contaminated soil near the Hammond Group lead oxide processing plant. The facility, once known as Hammond Lead, is along 165th Street between Indianapolis Boulevard and Kennedy Avenue.
