Regionally Speaking, Thursday, December 28, 2017

Bob Liptack, Lakeshore Public Media

Today: on this "Regionally Speaking," we revisit our conversation with Marcy Twete, head of corporate responsibility for ArcelorMittal Americas, one of the supporters of the Chi-Cal Rivers Fund.  The Fund made a total of $960,000 available  in 2017 to improve and enhance waterways and improve habitat, stormwater management and greenspace in Chicago-Calumet Region.  One of the grant recipients was "Save The Dunes."

And we bring back our Lakeshore Public Radio - League of Women Voters "Women in Politics" conversation held at the Crown Point Community Library. Participants included State Rep. Linda Lawson of Hammond, former State Rep. Shelli VanDenburgh and Lowell Town Council president LuAnn Angerman.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
