Regionally Speaking, Wednesday, December 13, 2017

Today:  Northwest Indiana financial advisor Greg Hammer  is back with some end-of-the-year tips for getting ones' financial matters in order before the start of 2018.

Lake Central Schools Corp. Superintendent Larry Veracco joins us to talk about tonight's public conversation about the state of public school financing in Indiana and about the possibility of another local referendum for support of a tax increase for operational expenses.  The referendum process is the only alternative that Hoosier public school districts have to ask residents for tax increases.  The Wednesday conversation begins at 6 p.m. at Lake Central High School.

And we bring you another "Lakeshore Focus" conversation with host Keith Kirkpatrick, as aired on Lakeshore PBS.  This week, Keith interviews Massachusetts professor Kofi-Charu Nat Turner, who participated in a forum at Purdue University Northwest.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
