Regionally Speaking, Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Future Center web site

Today: We invite back to  "Regionally Speaking" Professor Arthur Cyr, who is director of the A. W. Claussen Center for World Business at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.  He last spoke in northwest Indiana at the Region's World Trade Alliance meeting this past summer in Merrillville.  He's also experienced in northwest Indiana and Chicago area economic development.  He offers his views on some of the world political issues and how they pertain to economics and business.

Jerry Ross is a Crown Point native, a former astronaut and -- now -- an author.  We talk with him just before a recent book signing event in Indianapolis.  Debi Coble, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Michiana talks about the organization's community career centers and their ongoing programs.

And Lakeshore Public Radio's Sharon Jackson shares with us her conversation with Natalie Lukich, a counsellor in Crown Point who was a participant in a recent Indiana Youth Institute workshop on LGBTQ youth issues.  We also bring you another first-person conversation from the Welcome Project at Valparaiso University.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
