One of northwest Indiana's veteran state legislators is calling the 2018 General Assembly session as his final session.
Dist. 3 Representative Charlie Brown (D-Gary) made the announcement on Monday, and he came on "Regionally Speaking" on Tuesday to talk about his decision not to seek re-election next year.
In our extended conversation, Rep. Brown looks at some of the major issues he's addressed as a legislator, including ones he's personally sponsored like one that led to the creation of the "Healthy Indiana Plan," others that have benefited the Region, and a look at what he's going to file for this coming session.
Rep. Brown also talks about his political future after the Indiana Legislature.
