Lake Area United Way honors its volunteers and community-based employees for their efforts this year with the second annual STAR Awards celebration to be held in Munster on December 5th. STAR stands for Serving Together Achieves Results.
Lisa Daugherty, the President and CEO of the Lake Area United Way, came on "Regionally Speaking" on Monday to talk about the awards program to be held at the Center for the Visual and Performing Arts in Munster -- as well as talk about the new role that the organization is playing in Lake County.
