Today: As state lawmakers plan to expand pre-kindergarten across the state, we look at a very successful program in Lake County: the "Building Brickies" Early Learning Program in Hobart. Laura Kovats with the School City of Hobart talked about the concept, adopted from a nationwide program that empowers parents to be their child's first and best teacher through research-based home visits, play groups, developmental screenings and community resources.
