Regionally Speaking, Monday, September 25, 2017

Legacy Foundation Facebook page

Today:  Conversations with Indiana University Northwest's John Gibson about the Weekend MBA program beginning in January in Michigan City for residents in eastern communities in the Region and in southwest Michigan -- and Carmen Panlilio, Purdue University Northwest's Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, has good news for the new academic year, that shows records for student retention and full-time student populations.

Lakeshore Public Radio's Sharon Jackson talked with Erica Fizer of the Legacy Foundation of Lake County about Tuesday's "On The Table" conversations.  The Foundation set up locations across the county throughout the day, where residents can talk over breakfast, lunch or dinner about what can be done to make Lake County a better place to live and work.

We revisit our conversation with Arleen Peterson, the manager of "ArtHouse: A Social Kitchen" in Gary -- a single building that is a kitchen, a classroom, a cultural center and an art gallery.  The "ArtHouse" project was made possible by the city of Gary's first Cities Challenge grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Chris Nolte produces and hosts “Regionally Speaking” aired weekdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. He's also the temporary local "Morning Edition" host.
