GARY - Average retail gasoline prices in Gary have risen just over 15 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.53/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 314 gas outlets in Gary. This compares with the national average that has increased just under 24 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.64/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Gary during the past week, prices Monday were 40 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are just over 15 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. The national average has increased almost 30 cents per gallon during the last month and stands at almost 45 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
