The non-profit railroad historical group American Passenger Rail Heritage Foundation formed a new partnership with the South Shore Line/Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District to offer passengers on selected Saturdays an opportunity beginning next month to learn more about the communities served by the commuter train.
I talked with Robert Tabern, the Foundation's Vice President, for Tuesday's "Regionally Speaking" about the organization and its previous "Rail Ranger Guide" trips on other passenger lines, including the "Hoosier State" service between Chicago and Lafayette.
