A Chicago-based firm is working with the city of Hammond to create an extensive and ambitious, 14-month-long energy conservation project that could save the city government millions of dollars on its future energy expenses.
I talked with Rob Vollrath with Leopardo Energy about this project, announced by Mayor Tom McDermott Jr. about two months ago. He says Leopardo is guaranteeing, in their contract with the city, that their proposal could produce up to $26 million in energy savings over 15 years.
