Today: a one-hour presentation of the Monday, June 5th community forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters in Lake County, Lakeshore Public Radio and Purdue University Northwest and held on the Hammond campus.
Panelists included the chairmen of Lake County's Republican, Democratic and Libertarian Parties as well as representatives from the Young Democrats and Young Republicans organizations. The topics were wide-ranging, from how the local political parties approach encouraging citizens to register to vote and to actually vote in the elections, to the issues around the recent Legislature-mandated Lake County precinct reorganization.
