It's a deadly concoction of gravel-like heroin that was first reported in Southern states and is spreading across the country. The drug is so powerful that it can be absorbed into the body by merely touching it.
Valerie Thorn with the RecoveryWorks addiction treatment facility in Merrillville came on "Regionally Speaking" on Tuesday to talk about "gray death," why it is so dangerous, and how her facility -- and others like it -- are dealing with the efforts to fight it and bringing addicts back to their families.
