HOBART K9 POLICE OFFICERS CPL. A. SIMON GRESSER and SCOUT visited Lakeshore Public Radio's studios on March 22 to talk about the impact K9 officers have on law enforcement and what goes into training the dogs to serve and protect.
They also were there to promote the annual K9 Comedy Fundraiser taking place on FRIDAY, MARCH 24 at The County Line Orchard (200 S. County Line Rd.) in Hobart, IN. Doors open 5pm with baskets, raffles and K9 demonstrations. Then at 7pm three top national comedians from Comedy Central will perform back to back routines -- Dobie Maxwell, Jerry Donovan and Steve Iott.
Funds raised from this event allows the K9 Unit to continue training, and aids in purchasing supplies for the program.
The evening's guest emcee is Lakeshore Public Radio on air personality Tom Lounges, host of the programs "Midwest BEAT" and "A Look At The Arts." Stage production is being donated by Tom Lounges Entertainment, LLC.
