  • Things open up with a collection of great harmonica blues, then it's a great collection of blues/rock icons team up for a big block of blues collaborations.
  • Among the blues artists featured on the program are: Magic Slim & The Teardrops, John Lee Hooker, Etta James, Buddy Guy, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Freddie King, Brigitte Purdy, Stray Cat Willie, Big Mud Morganfield and Ronnie Baker Brooks. Along with plenty of others.
  • This week's full show is focused on only Blues Women for both hours -- the classic artists and some lesser known artists.
  • This week's program showcases NEW BLUES releases by a variety of artists on a variety of record labels. The show opens with a pair of "Double Shots" by Shemekia Copeland and Ronnie Baker Brooks from their respective new albums released this month via the Alligator Records label.
