BEST OF MIDWEST BEAT: Highlights with Earl & The Agitators, Ted Neeley & Wanda Jackson

This editon of  "MIDWEST BEAT with TOM LOUNGES" originally aired April 19, 2019 on 89.1FM-LAKESHORE PUBLIC RADIO...

GUESTS: SCOTT HOLT & ROGER EARL of Earl & The Agitators, TED NEELEY of "Jesus Christ Superstar," and WANDA JACKSON

Rockabilly Queen WANDA JACKSON.

The blues rock superstar ensemble EARL & THE AGITATORS are spotlighted during the entire first hour as Tom chats with guitarist/vocalist SCOTT HOLT and drummer/band namesake, ROGER EARL. A handful of their songs are featured during this portion of the program that will surely have listeners dancing in their seats.

Next up is TED NEELEY of "Jesus Christ Superstar" (in honor of Easter Weekend), followed by pioneering rockabilly legend WANDA JACKSON, to discuss her career, her recent biography, and what's next for her!

Old friends Tom Lounges pictured here with actor/vocalist and stage icon TED NEELEY and Sarah Lounges-Denton reuniting in 2018 for the 40th Anniversary of the screen debut of "Jesus Christ Superstar."

Wrapping up this particular program is a brief live clip from an in-studio performance earlier in the week by Northwest Indiana singer/songwriter, JEF SARVER.  The song he performs is a brand new one, slated for his next full length album, "A Wolf in Sleep's Clothing," due out later this year.  The album is the third in a trilogy of albums.
