Wilson came to fame in the early 1970s as the lead vocalist of the classic rock group HEART, a  group that has continued to create music and tour through now.

Following the most recent HEART album and tour in 2016, the Wilson sisters have each persued a solo project while the group remains on hiatus.   This interview with ANN WILSON focuses solely on her project and her efforst to establish her own solo brand with a series of EPs and her new forthcoming album of cover songs titled "IMMORTAL," which features wholly unique and tasty treatments to songs made famous by artists she admired who recently passed away.   Artists including -- Chris Cornell, David Bowie, Leslie Gore, Leonard Cohen, and six others.

ANN appeared on this program to promote that upcoming album and her performance on the STARS ALIGN U.S. Tour which stopped in Chicago on this weekend.

Tom Lounges has been a radio personality and music journalist since 1979. For the last 43 years, Tom has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly music columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper.
