Opening up this edition of the program is a chat with Chicago actress/vocalist ALEXIS J. ROSTON who gives a passionate tribute to America’s most beloved jazz singer in the stage production of "ELLA FITZGERALD: First Lady of Song," which was booked for two performances at The Theater At The Center on Sunday, October 22.

The second guest and second installment features a great interview and song sampling with the amazingly talented MINDI ABAIR, who first appeared on "Midwest BEAT" in late 2015.  Abair updates Lakeshore listeners here with conversation about her her rockin' new band -- THE BONESHAKERS -- and their brand new album, "THE EASTWEST SESSIONS."     MINDI & THE BONESHAKERS performed live on Saturday, October 21 at The Loews Hotel's Montrose Room.  

Closing out this program is iconic roots rocker DAVE ALVIN (of The Blasters fame) who performs on October 28 at Memorial Opera House in Valparaiso with Jimmie Dale Gilmore.   

Songs from each of today's guests will be heard during their respective segments of the program.
