JAKE CLEMONS Blows His Horn About New Solo Band Release and "BIG RIVER" Rolls On Air

This edition of "MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges" orginally aired on TUESDAY,  SEPTEMBER 19, 2017

Musical Guests:

JAKE CLEMONS (of The E-Street Band)

JASON RICHARDS (cast of "BIG RIVER")

JAKE CLEMONS divides his time between touring the world fronting his own band and playing his own music, and touring and recording as the tenor and baritone saxophonist with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.  Jake joined the E-Streeters after being invited to step in for his uncle, the late Clarence Clemons.

Earlier this year, The Jake Clemons Band released their first full length original music album "Fear + Love."  Music from that album is featured on this program as Jake chats with host Tom Lounges about his career with both groups, and how he is focused on creating his own sound.

There will also be a guest appearance on this program by regional actor/singer JASON RICHARDS who is among the leads in the currently running "BIG RIVER" musical at The Theatre at the Center (TATC) in Munster.  Jason will talk about his career, about the production which features music written by country legend Roger Miller, and a selection or two from it will be played.

Tom Lounges has been a radio personality and music journalist since 1979. For the last 43 years, Tom has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly music columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper.
