GREG KIHN Still Writes 'Em Like That... His New Album, Tour, New Band!

This edition of “MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges” originally aired TUESDAY, MAY 2, 2017

MUSICAL GUEST:  GREG KIHN

This week's "MIDWEST BEAT with Tom Lounges" features as its guest -- one the best pop-rock songwriter/performers in the business -- GREG KIHN!

Greg just recently released his first collection of new studio recordings in 20 years with the album --  "RE-KIHND-LED"  -- an 11-song set of tunes that after just a few weeks on the market, is already getting strong support on NPR and College Radio outlets.  The new songs are already being embraced by Greg's kihn-tinually  expanding fan base, which has resulted in the Cali-pop star dusting off his band and heading back out on the concert trail.

KIHN and his equally talented son RYAN KIHN are now musical collaborators and band mates, which only serves to double the fun and creativity found on these tracks.

New Kihn songs like -- "Big Pink Flamingos," "Cassandra," and "I Wrote The Book" -- are future gems and some of them will be heard on this week's program, along with a few choice hits from Kihn's rich musical catalog like "The Break Up Song," "Jeapordy" and a deep cut for Kihn's catalog you might have forgotten about written by Bruce Springsteen.

Tom Lounges has been a radio personality and music journalist since 1979. For the last 43 years, Tom has been reporting on entertainment as a weekly music columnist and feature writer for The Times newspaper.
